Consciously Conceiving & Parenting

Birthing The Future® promotes a vision that all children are wanted and welcomed into the world and that every community and society has policies that protect and support each mother-baby pair – the most vulnerable of all pairs – and their symbiotic bond, which starts pre-conception, is the most critical relationship of all. We understand, and science now proves, that all babies are conscious, starting at conception. We envision a world where, in the words of author-educator Pam Leo (Connection Parenting) where children don’t have to recover from their childhoods.

We believe that all boys and girls need to learn about the physiology and neurobiology of sex and reproduction, as well as the brain development of babies, and that boys in particular must be taught to respect and honor all females, and men will model this. And girls are taught to value their wombs and fertility, for this  biological inheritance comes with a price.

We believe this is crucial if we want to end the worldwide neglect, abuse and marginalizing of girls and women, including inequities in education, child-rearing and the work place. Only that, with the support of a fair criminal justice system, will end the still-prevalent abuses of females that include rape and coerced childbearing.

Women also bear responsibility. Whenever we’ve been harmed, we tend to unconsciously pass that wound along to our children. We mothers can inflict irreparable harm. Women holding without grasping and men loving without dominating or invading, each respecting both self and other, that will be the future we were designed for.

To these ends, Birthing The Future® promotes full access to free family planning and contraception, and abortion. We envision a world where every woman has agency over her body and the respect of men, and only babies who are wanted, planned for and welcomed will be conceived. Abortion will then be largely unnecessary. Our children deserve nothing less.
