3. Do not double click on this file. It will just open an empty window in your browser. Instead, open this file in any text editor (such as MS Word, or Text Edit on a Mac).
4. Once this file opens you will see the word “play” at the top of that document. Click on it and, like magic, a window from Vimeo will open your film.

This 1hr 12 min film is Volume 3 in THE TIME IS NOW series. It was created from Birthing The Future’s 3rd Residential International Roundtable, held at a retreat center near Sao Paolo, Brazil. This all-woman retreat had folks from 3 continents and diverse professions and backgrounds spending 5 days exploring birth and the primal period and how to create optimal families and thriving, nonviolent societies.

You’ll hear from an African-American social worker who adopted a teenage boy and who works with foster and adoptive parents, share wisdom she learned from personal experience about birth psychology,  birth-related trauma and how to help a troubled adoptee or foster child who “act out”, with compassionate listening and honest sharing, and suggestions she now gives  foster and adoptive parents; a “matravist” from Spain, (and breastfeeding mother, who brought  her baby with her into the group, a welcome reminder of the our work) relating what she learned about birthing “naturally” and at home, from her own family and speaking out about what must change in maternity care systems; a transpersonal psychology counselor/birth educator who does unique work with pregnant who carry trauma from a prior birth on healing that prior to giving birth, and on how she is educating young women to understand the sacred Feminine that lives within each of them, as well how women be a guide their male partners; and a birth educator sharing her wisdom about the proven self-hypnosis techniques any woman can learn in pregnancy to enter labor without fear and to birth with little or no pain.
